About Vegetable Fried Rice Recipe | Rice Recipe: A great way to use some leftover rice! Easy, quick and delicious fried rice recipe that kids and adults would love alike. Nutritious veggies are sauteed with garlic, chilli and steamed rice along with oriental sauces. Flavourful rice in just 15 minutes with goodness of veggies.

Ingredients in Vegetable Fried Rice Recipe: Healthy veggies like baby corn, carrots and cabbage make up for this sumptuous bowl of fried rice, mixed with soy sauce, chillies and garlic making it as flavourful as it could get.

How to Make Vegetable Fried Rice

  • 1. In a pan add 1 Tbsp oil, garlic and chilli. Saute.
  • 2. Add carrots, baby corn, green beans and cabbage. Saute and add sesame oil.       Add the rice.
  • 3.Season with salt and pepper, soy sauce and wine. Cook for a minute.
  • 4.Serve hot garnished with some chopped spring onion greens.

  • 1 bowl Rice (A day old rice make the best fried rice), boiled
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 1 Red chilli, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Carrots, chopped
  • 3-4 Baby corn, chopped
  • 4-5 tbsp Cabbage (diced)
  • 1/2 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 4-5 Green beans, chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce
  • 2-3 tbsp Wine (optional)
  • To garnish Spring onion greens

Method
  1. Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Prick the potatoes all over with a fork, then put on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 1 hr.
  2. While the potatoes are baking, heat the oil in a large frying pan. Add the onion and fry over a high heat for 5 mins until softened. Add the garlic and chilli sachet. Stir a few times to coat the onions in the spices, then tip the onion mixture into a large ovenproof dish.
  3. Put the pan back over high heat and add the beef mince, breaking it up with a spatula as you go. Cook until starting to become crisp at the edges, then add to the dish with the onions. Return the pan to heat and cook the bacon until crisp at the edges. Add the bacon to the beef and stir to combine.
  4. Stir in the tomato pure and tomatoes, then put the dish in the oven with the potatoes and bake for 25-30 mins until bubbling and starting to thicken. Stir in the beans and season well. Return to the oven for 5 mins to warm through.
  5. Cut a cross in the top of each potato and squeeze the sides to open. Spoon in the baked chilli and top with soured cream, cheese and coriander if you like.

Ingredients of Masala Chicken
  • Step 1

    For preparing this chicken recipe, clean and wash the chicken three-four times and drain. Keep this cleaned chicken aside and make a paste of 2 pieces of ginger, garlic, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and black peppercorn.

    Step 2

    Then take chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and a quarter cup of water. Grind them all and make a paste of it. Now grind together grated fresh coconut and poppy seeds and make a fine paste of them.

    Step 3

    Heat oil in a pressure cooker, fry onions till they turn golden brown. Then add curry leaves and salt, mix in the ginger-garlic spice paste and fry for three minutes.

    Step 4

    Now add chilli-coriander-turmeric powder paste. Mix thoroughly and add the chicken pieces. Fry for five minutes.

    Step 5

    Add tomatoes and fry for another five minutes with one and a half cups of water and cook for about 10-15 minutes. When the chicken is tender, mix in the coconut-poppy seed paste and cook over medium heat for five minutes.

    Step 6

    Finally, add coriander leaves, mix well and remove from heat. Serve it hot with butter naan and raita.
